We had our living room and entry area painted by A Fresh Coat Painting. There were some pretty extensive drywall repairs. They did a fantastic job on the repairs and painting. Painters hired by my general contractor, who went out of business. I asked for an upscale job, with attention to detail and sharp edges, and was willing to pay extra for it. My contractors selected Kurt’s team. The price was a bit high, as expected. Kurt was very nice and professional. The quality of the painting was OK – I did specifically ask for the edges to be sharp and not overlapping onto the ceiling or woodwork, but they pretty much all overlapped by a moderate amount – not sloppy, just not the accuracy I had wanted for that specific job (it would have been fine for others).They also painted right over the window tracks, which had to be replaced. But testament to Kurt’s professionalism, he was extremely professional, did not disagree with anything but immediately offered to fix the work and pay for the tracks. Painters returned to fix the edges. They are now a bit closer to the true corner, but still actually overlap a bit, I decided to just let it be. Apart from the edges, the painting looked great. They did excellent prep of the woodwork and nice, even application that is still holding up well today, I like the smooth surfaces. Here’s the amazing part, though. While the general contractor I hired went out of business and stiffed the painters on the job (they didn’t get paid a dime for the work on my house despite my paying the general contractor in full), Kurt was true to his word and still paid for the window track to be replaced! So overall I would say if you want someone who you know you can trust, Kurt is your man. They do a very decent job painting for most applications, and will fix things until they get it to your liking without arguing, which is the most important character for a contractor in my book.

I received a prompt quote from these people, and agreed to proceed with the job. When the cleaning of the house was started, all plants were carefully covered and cleanup was complete. After the primer was applied they advised that the siding should have a special, thicker paint to protect it against deterioration. I agreed even though the cost was a bit higher. The job was completed as agreed, and to date looks excellent. I have had compliments from neighbors on the paint job.

Kurt and company repainted our 1908 house after the removal of aluminum siding from the 1970s. The job included pulling staples, removing some siding, and filling countless holes.  This company exemplifies excellent customer service. Kurt was always available, remembered to do what we asked, and thoroughly addressed all of our needs. They even touched areas of the house that were not within the original bid. The caulking was neat, and they back-brushed in the paint while still leaving air gaps for the siding to breathe. The house has lead paint on the outside, and they picked up 99% of the paint chips they created. Our yard is a jungle, and they were also relatively careful with our plants.

Complete baseboard to ceiling repaint of our living/dining area. Two coordinated colors used on various walls, plus repaint of the ceiling. The north/south walls went to a blue color, and the east/west walls went to a beige color, plus 15 foot cathedral ceilings. Fixed popped nails, settling-cracks. Lots of corners and junctures where different paint colors intersected, requiring a sharp cut-over.  The project completely met all of our expectations. All walls and ceiling surfaces received two coats of paint. All of the corners and intersections were hand-brushed. Nail pops were fixed. The project required a great deal of edge taping. Our hardwood floors were protected and furniture was covered in plastic sheeting. The project required 2 1/2 days of hard work, all executed cheerfully.

Prep and paint walls, ceilings, some closets, doors and trim in approx.1000 sq ft. of living area including living/dining/ master, foyer, bath and office. Prior to painting all big furniture and floors were covered. All the trim had to be extensively sanded to remove old brush and roller marks. All trim, including casement window frames and french doors, were masked and spray painted with several coats of semi gloss. Price included Divine paint on the ceilings and Benjamin-Moor on walls.

My wife and I and our two Bernese Mountain dogs moved downstairs for the 10 day process. The sanding was extensive but the painters vacuumed it up daily. Yes there was a fine coating of dust everywhere but that has been cleaned up now. The owners Kurt and Paul were here much of the time and Chris and another helper were the rest of the crew. The painters removed and successfully replaced all window, drape and door hardware to facilitate painting. The paint was “green” so odors from that were minimal. At the end the crew spent nearly two days finishing up, replacing all the furniture and cleaning everything. We have lived in the newly painted area for several days now and have not found any omissions or anything but impeccable workmanship.

Although I did not end up using this company, purely because our dates didn’t quite match up, this company was very patient, and tried really hard to make it work for me. Their bid was competitive, and I definitely got the sense that each customer receives personal service and care. They were thorough with follow-up, great communicators, and are actively growing their company. I think Kurt would be a pleasure to work with and would ensure that the job was done correctly. Their bid was also very complete, with the level of detail needed to ensure that everyone knew what the job was to be.

Repainting of kitchen, two bath rooms and utility room. But most difficult, and beautiful, job was refinishing 18 window casings and a wall…all solid cedar and dating from 1971. Color match was difficult as was finish match but we are VERY pleased with the results. The interior painting of the baths, kitchen, etc., is very good also, though it is exactly what you’d expect from a professional painting company.

Painter showed up promptly as promised to do estimate. Very professional yet friendly approach. When the job was authorized the crews showed up when and where promised and caused the minimum possible disruption to our household. There was no “over spray” or “paint splash” on surfaces not involved in the work, including our newly-installed floor coverings. They also re-finished all of our kitchen cabinets. They did an excellent job on that, too. A Fresh Coat will certainly be our first choice for future painting projects, especially any further restoration of our cedar interior walls.

I hired A Fresh Coat Painting to paint both the interior and exterior of my home. I dealt mainly with Kurt Deppisch, from the bidding process (which Kurt calmly and with no pressure hung in there with me), to scheduling and most importantly ? choosing the colors for my entire house. Something that really helped keep me at ease, while this flurry of activity took place at my house each day, while I was at work. Although I found the process of searching for a contractor as well as having my entire home painted at once stressful, the reaction from my daughter when she saw that her room had been painted in the colors that she originally chose and I had vetoed “Thanks again for that Kurt” made it all absolutely worth it. My home has been completely transformed inside and out I can truly say that I love, love, love how it looks.

Once again Kurt , Paul & staff exceeded our expectations. Our home’s exterior required special attention due to the type of siding involved. Not only were they knowledgeable but they had excellent recommendations that will increase the life of our home. They first power washed all exterior surfaces ,repaired where necessary , primed the surface & painted two coats.. The exterior looks amazing. We also had them restaining our large deck. Once again they went above and beyond our expectations. The deck was sanded to it’s original grain and stained on both the upper and lower (under deck) surfaces. Our deck will survive hosts of Oregon winters. On the works completion, they came to inspect make sure we were happy with the finished product. I reached out to 3 painters for quotes and I went with Kurt as he seemed very genuine and professional about his work. Pricing came in about the middle of all 3 quotes and honestly, I chose this company mainly because I just had a good feeling about Kurt. Pure gut instinct and my gut proved to be right. Kurt was extremely punctual in getting back to me when I called and his team arrived on time everyday to perform the job. They were meticulous in the prep work involved with preparing the house for a full exterior paint. They did an amazing job caulking the house, covering areas and cleaning up. Kurt and his team did a full exterior painting on my 11 year old home. They caulked and painted body and trim of the entire house.

Paul and company pressure washed, then, a week or so later (delayed by the ONLY rain that we’ve had this summer!) painted the “flats” on our decks.  We have miles of decks and they painted the top of the rails, the top of the banisters, and the walking surfaces of all involved.  These are the surfaces that get the most abuse and fail the quickest.  They painted the whole thing (all sides, etc.) four years ago and this was just a “touch up” to keep the wear surfaces looking like the rest.

The pressure wash went as planned then, OF COURSE, it rained the night before the paint/stain was to be applied.  Paul and we agreed upon an “alternate date” and all rest off as scheduled.   Outside of the pressure wash, the whole job took about half a day.  All was great except two paint drips on one stair (small potatoes given the size of the job!).

What can I say? They come almost to the minute of when they promise. They have all of the tools and techniques that one could ask. They are nuts for preparation (the KEY to successful finish work…ask anyone who really knows!). They are pleasant and easy to work with. And they are really nice people! They have been here four times so far and we’ll have them back anytime we need painting or finishing services!

A Fresh Coat has done some fairly big jobs for us before, and this was the first "little, interior-only job.Done perfectly! The job was to repair cat scratches in window sills, dings and dents in cedar walls, refinish the insides of our double front doors, and finish a repaired section of our cathedral, cedar, ceiling. Color matching of the original stains (from 1972) was critical, and perfect!How happy were we? We’ve contracted A Fresh Coat to do a whole-house exterior job next summer.

Our 1938 home was last painted more than 12 years ago, so it needed a careful work-over. Constructed of 3/4 cedar planking, it could best be described as an “Aging Beauty” with many ‘freckles’ of raw wood coming thru the paint. Meaning some places required extensive sanding and repairs to the wood surface before new primer could be applied. It was not yet a restoration project, but I would say we were 1-2 years overdue.  Company Owner Kirk came to the house and power washed the exterior himself, a process that enabled him to get familiar with the home and its challenges. Next he worked with my wife and I to select colors for the siding, trim, front door and shutters. The 3 of us looked at other homes in our area with newer paint jobs, as Kirk pointed out their flaws and attributes. He was patient, thorough, and a good arbiter of minor differences between H & W. Kirk helped us choose colors that were different from the prior scheme, yet consistent with our trees and flowering shrubs. The Fresh Coat Painting crew arrived on time and went about their work briskly. Our home required substantial sanding and preparation, along with two coats of primer. They were respectful of our tenant and waited until mid-morning to turn on radios. Working hours for July (it was HOT !) were from 7:30 to about 3:45 each day. Several workers had been with the company more than five years, a good sign of job stability and commitment to craftsmanship. After talking with several crew members, it was obvious they were trained to spot causes of paint failure, such as uneven drying, moisture or oils in the wood, and ‘bubbling’ caused by too much (or sudden) exposure to full sun.  A homeowner should realize that in today’s world, painters spray product onto the surface wherever possible. In a few areas, brush work is still done [doors, railings for decks, window sills].  I was not prepared for this ‘fact of life’ that technology allows, coming from an ‘Old School’ approach. It seems that today we must accept the fact that 98% of your home’s exterior is ‘painted’ by power machines, not by hand. That said, spray painting allows for multiple coats to be applied more quickly than by brush.  Two times Kurt or the crew made me aware of ‘extra’ features that were not part of my original bid. One involved painting the underside of a 2nd story deck; another was the surface of a 40 sq.ft brick entryway to the front door.  Each ‘add on’ to the scope was presented with adequate information to make a decision. I never felt ‘hustled’ or hurried to consider their requests. The prices as quoted were reasonable. Crews were led by savvy, practical men who knew their trade and how to respond to my questions. A Fresh Coat uses Miller Paints, which are not cheap. But I didn’t want a short term result, either.  Overall I was pleased with the job done by A Fresh Coat Painting, LLC. They gave me a firm start date and stuck with it. The owners responded to telephone calls during the job, and the crews cleaned up well afterward. Owners Kurt and Paul are pros in every sense of the word and train their workers to a high standard. Their prices are not the lowest in town, but I believe I got superior service along the way. I would highly recommend them, especially if your home is older or in need of a major paint job.

The most recent work was doing the painting for the remodel of our kitchen. This included touching up the caulking of the trim boards due to the age of the house. Other work in the past has included painting the exterior of our large Tudor style house and interior painting of other rooms. One unique effort was painting a new door on our garden shed. We wanted a dated look and Kurt did an excellent job with the base color and the artistic touch up to create the look we wanted. Perfect!!

We have used these guys for many years now and have NEVER been disappointed. We used to get multiple bids and they were always competitive on price. Their commitment to completing the work as quickly as possible and their high quality standards has always been fantastic. These days we just call them up, have them look the job over, give is a quote and away we go. It’s really nice to have a company you can trust so completely to do high quality at a reasonable price.

We were so pleased with A Fresh Coat. The crew was punctual, neat, clean, careful with detail and very good at communicating. They painted a kitchen, family room, sunroom and hall. We would have them again in a heartbeat.

We own an older house with a few rooms of plaster walls and ceilings. The walls had cracks from a previous skim coat but the ceilings were terrible with numerous cracks and flaws and a pebbly finish. These guys showed up on time every day, provided a scrim mesh over the entire ceiling and then mudded over the scrim. They also addressed the cracks in the walls. The results were spectacular. Perfectly smooth walls and ceilings – no cheating with spray texture. The paint lines were straight and the edges on the trim around the door frames, base board and crown molding are clean and straight. Being an architect, one can be particular but I could not find a punch list item. They left the rooms cleaner than when they arrived. I recommend A Fresh Coat Painting highly.

From the first site visit to the final walk through, they were professional, conscientious, proactive and meticulous.

The project involved skim coating walls and ceilings smooth and painting. It sounds like a simple project but for an old house that was slightly neglected by the previous owner, it was no easy task.

Kurt and team did not take any shortcuts.

They used mesh tape for the skim coat which makes the final product that much more sturdy. And, it also keeps the integrity of the house.

For the painting, they sanded and scrapped all the trim and woodwork so the new coat would adhere properly (as opposed to light sanding). They trim is sooo smooth now that I can’t stop touching it.

Our floor contractor walked into the house after not seeing it for awhile and was stunned! He called it perfection!

I am so pleased with the work done by Kurt and Chris and his crew of four.  Neat and tidy, quietly efficient, appropriately knowledgable and skillful to a man, responsive and considerate of my concerns about the job.  Also friendly–many smiles which brighten any day.  Top quality craftsmanship and customer service are well worth the cost.

Our house, a Portland 4 square style, was built in 2007, but the exterior paint was already worn through in many places and mold was growing in the cracked wood railings.  Knowing the house was in bad shape last summer (2010), I contacted several painting contractors for bids.  By the time I selected A Fresh Coat Painting, it was too late in the summer to schedule the work.  I asked and Kurt agreed that we would be in contact in spring 2011 to schedule the work, which we did.  I chose A Fresh Coat above five other painters not because they were the cheapest but because Kurt, who wrote the bid for me, listened to my concerns, including neighbors and plants, and wrote a work plan that addressed each concern specifically as well as outlined the details of the painting job itself.  Now that the work is done, I am so very pleased.  Most important, the quality of the job is superb. Prep work looked to be quite thorough.  Painters were tidy as they worked throughout the day and clean up each evening and at the end of the job was perfect.  The house was power washed, personally by Kurt, the week before the painting began.  Then on Monday morning, Chris and his crew of four others got right to work.  Throughout the four days, each man worked hard and steadily, with skill and application.  They worked well together, with a superior work ethic.  This teamwork shows in the really high quality product–a job well done!

I plan to have the house power washed in a couple of years to prolong the spiffy look as well as to simply clean away the dust, dirt, and bugs that inevitably collect.  And I will call Kurt to schedule A Fresh Coat Painting do this job as well.

They CAME on time (in Oregon this is a weather issue with outside jobs they brought good weather!!) They are polite to a fault we don’t mind leaving your home open to them! They do WONDERFUL work….they are very good at matching colors, etc. They CLEAN UP…hardly know that they were there when they are done, except for the lovely work that they do!  Don’t expect them to be cheap! If want cheap, go somewhere else. If you want a very good job, at a fair price, hire these folks! Oh the question (above) would you hire this company again?….YEP, this is the second time we’ve used them and we are already in progress for the next time! Matched and stained interior and exterior open grain cedar, birch plywood, and window trim to match existing interior and exterior trim and siding on a rather large window-replacement project. DO hire these guys! Don’t “not hire” these guys. They are very good, and personable, to boot!

The project completely met all of our expectations. All walls and ceiling surfaces received two coats of paint. All of the corners and intersections were hand-brushed. Nail pops were fixed. The project required a great deal of edge taping. Our hardwood floors were protected and furniture was covered in plastic sheeting. The project required 2 1/2 days of hard work, all executed cheerfully.

Kurt sent his estimate for our project in the mail about one week after we initially met. We made some changes via e-mail. We decided to paint the ceilings and go with Devine paint versus a less expensive brand. His estimate to paint the ceiling was very reasonable and his overall price was very fair with the 10% discount to Angie’s list members. There was a slight bit of confusion how they were going to increase their estimate with the Devine low VOC brand but in the end we were not charged extra. The project took one week and we thought it best to stay in a hotel because of our small children. The crew took care of all of the necessary prep work and caulked the proper areas. They used two coats of paint and we were very impressed with their workmanship. We have a curved archway that we used one color of paint on one side and another on the other. A fresh coat painting more than met our expectations. We had hired two other Angie’s list recommended painting companies in the past and we are very glad to have tried this company and we plan on using them in the future! Kurt promptly came back after completion to fix the couple of minor issues we found including repairing a fallen blind.

I needed a medium sized bathroom vanity painted (sprayed) in place. The vanity had previously been painted with oil based paint and had discolored over the years. I wanted to switch over to latex paint which would be easier to maintain in the future. Making the switch from oil to latex needs a little extra work. I asked them to be careful with their spraying as I had just repainted the bathroom and had new granite countertops installed. Member Comments: “All-around fantastic” would be the best descriptor for the service and work I received from Kurt Deppisch. The other painters that I contacted really didn’t want this small job (understandable), but Kurt approached it with as much professionalism as a larger job. His masking and painting was quick and thorough so as to minimize the inconvenience and mess for me. Kurt was even flexible enough to allow me to do extra trim work on the vanity halfway through his job (I had mentioned before he started that I would have loved to add some trim work had I had more time). He was very kind, easy-going (without being a slacker), and very helpful with all of my questions and concerns. I simply can’t imagine an easier person to work with. I will have Kurt back in a heartbeat to do more painting for me in the future. I wish that more craftspeople took his approach to their work. Oh, and the painted vanity came out perfect. Thanks a ton, Kurt!

I am so happy with the job Fresh Coat did painting our house exterior last summer.  It went from peeling old gray paint, to a lovely sage green with white trim.  My husband says its like we’ve “raised the house from the dead”.  With the high quality materials Kurt and Paul insisted on, and the care he and his team took every step of the way, we most likely won’t have to paint it again for many, many years. I highly recommend these guys to anyone who has an old house that has some issues, or any house for that matter.  These guys have old fashioned business values:  attention to detail, insistence on quality and communicating with the customer daily.  They are truly a rarity.

They did a wonderful job. Good communication from start to finish. Started on time. On the second day, we figured out that one of the rooms was darker than we would have liked (our fault, not theirs) and ask them to repaint the work they had already done to a different color. They were very courteous about the whole thing and finished everything to our liking.

Kurt and Paul did the Venetian plastering of a long, cathedral-ceilinged wall running from our dining area through the living room. They were punctual, stuck to the budget they quoted us, and took great care with protecting the rugs and furniture. Because I was new to Portland I had some difficulty knowing who to hire for the painting of my newly purchased downtown Portland condo. My good fortune was finding A Fresh Coat Painting and meeting Kurt Deppisch. I soon discovered that Kurt and Paul, the owners of this painting business are not only painters, they are artists. After the completion of painting the entire condo interior, with accent colors, Kurt has used a trowel to create a concrete faux stone finish over the balcony floors and he has trimmed both with decorative tile. A Fresh Coat kept in touch so that we knew when to expect work to begin, actually starting four days ahead of schedule. Painters worked around rainy weather expertly, focusing on covered areas when weather was disagreeable, and on exposed areas during fair days. They were thorough in prep work (sanding & priming) as well as final coat, and also discovered rotting wood at base of support posts (which was repaired before painting). The total result is that all newly-painted areas no longer appear as 15 year old material. Painters had great positive attitudes and seemed to enjoy their work. We could not be more pleased!!!

I wanted to tell you again how much I am enjoying the mantle you painted for me. Today it was just stunning! I came home at about 1 pm and the sun was shining through the windows on to the natural wood floor and the reflected light off the floor on to the mantle made the mantle glow all on its own. First I was confused as to where the light was coming from, it was as if someone put a spotlight on just the mantle. Nothing else around it picked up the glow. Wow! Working with A Fresh Coat Painting was a fantastic experience. During the bid process, they were extremely helpful and even helped us finalize our color choices. We had to have a lot of remodeling work done after a water incident in our home, and by the time we were ready for painters we had dealt with more than half a dozen contractors. I have to say that only one of those jobs went without some type of glitch or problem, and we were very weary of having work done in our home that was not done well and then having to deal with getting it fixed or done over. In fact, when I met Kurt, we had just had a different painter spill primer on our newly refinished hardwood floors and then leave the job ($525 later with almost nothing to show for it). So after Kurt was so highly recommended by a neighbor, and after talking to probably 10 different painters, we decided to hire them–they were a little more money than some of the others, but ultimately I decided it was worth it to have the peace of mind that everything would be done well and go smoothly. They not only did a great job but exceeded my expectations (which, believe me, is hard to do!). I’m very picky about details, and Chris (who did the actual painting) was actually as meticulous and careful as I try to be–going back over their work before leaving to make sure all the edges and lines were clean and perfect. This kind of careful work and attention to detail is not easy to find! They also thoroughly covered and tented off everything so that our home stayed as clean and free from dust as possible, which was important for me with 5 kids around. And each night they vacuumed and cleaned up their work, which was also very impressive. Furthermore, they sprayed, instead of brushed, the two windows I told them would be okay to brush because they wanted to make sure everything looked nice when they were done.

If you want painters who will arrive on time, stand behind their work, be very easy to have around, and do an incredible job–hire A Fresh Coat! They will be worth every penny.

I cannot say enough about the wonderful job you did painting my whole downstairs, ceilings and walls!! I just love the color and how it opens everything up. The help you gave with the color suggestions were very helpful. I am so happy the way the wood turned out after sanding and staining it. You would never know there had been a water leak. Moving 3000 miles is never easy and having to manage long distance before the move can be overwhelming. Having Paul and Kurt made it amazingly pleasant! They not only met my expectations but went way beyond. They emailed or called and kept me updated with pics online. Furniture arrived early and they accommodated me with the mess and all. They are great! They are doing my exterior in the spring and I’m so looking forward to actually meeting all of them in person!!! A plus.

Kurt was prompt in returning my initial call and was able to come do a free estimate within a couple days. The price he quoted was competitive with others that we received. He was flexible with his schedule to accommodate our tight timeline. Throughout the entire process he was very available by both phone and email. His team covered all of our flooring and furniture and left no trace that they were ever here…except the amazing paint job! We needed to have upstairs bathroom painted, but then when reviewing some other dissatisfaction with a previous painter’s work, Kurt provided excellent advice and a plan for corrective action that was well within our budget. The upstairs bathroom was in dire need of repainting and required 3 coats to cover and correct the previous poor quality paint job. We had been dissatisfied with our previous choice of color and earlier paint job in the upstairs loft. Kurt was very clear about what needed to be done to correct the situation. The stairwell leading to the loft and the lower hallway were colors that we wanted to change and he suggested options for that. Once agreed upon, he and his partner arrived and were meticulous about ensuring all furniture and carpeting were well protected prior to beginning work. They even covered the flooring and stairs leading into their work area to protect those areas. While the work was being done, we discussed a problem with nicks on the banister in the stairwell. They repainted that for us so it looks like new. All the work was done with high-quality paint and agreed-upon colors. They cleaned up after the painting was done and removed all of the masked areas. The final result is wonderful and we are extremely pleased with the quality of their workmanship and attention to very minute details.

 In the past, I have always been reluctant to have someone else do interior painting because no-one has been able to meet my nit-picky, standards.

Excellent! We selected Fresh Coat because of their professionalism, extreme attention to detail and willingness to work around our schedule. The refinish work on our front door is fantastic. They completed sanding, filling, priming, and five coats of spray which resulted in an fantastic finish. We selected them because of their high quality workmanship in past projects. Their work completely met my super-critical demands for perfection.

We had just renovated our kitchen and in the process decided with our contractor, that the cabinets were in good shape and only needed some touch up painting. We also wanted to have the walls repainted to freshen the look in the kitchen and give it a new sparkle. We had previously used A FRESH COAT PAINTING, and were extremely pleased with their extreme attention to small details and professional understanding of painting. We had a couple of substantial dings after the removal of the old counter tops. With the installation of the new granite and new appliances, there were some new areas that needed paint. Kurt came out to the house and explained all the options and processes they use with each. We decided that touch up was the best option, along with repainting the kitchen walls. We agreed upon the colors and paint type, and Kurt responded a day later with a proposal with options. Work was started promptly as scheduled and completed as agreed to. I am extremely nit picky about painting, and in the past have done the work myself because I didn’t trust anyone else to the job to my expectation. A FRESH COAT PAINT always exceeds my expectation and while doing the work provides great guidance about maintaining high quality paint finishes. We are always impressed with their final product and extreme attention fine, high-quality workmanship. The cabinets look like new and there is no trace that they were only touched up. These guys are great.

Kurt came to the house soon after I called to request an estimate.  It looked at the project and told me exactly what the process would be, including all the preparation work and clean up as well as patching nail holes, etc. He gave me a verbal estimate and then emailed a written one within hours.   His crew was able to come within 2 weeks and the work was completed in two days.  When they left after the first day everything was cleaned up and put away as much as possible and when the work was completed, they left the area spotless.  Kurt was very pleasant and professional and the painting crew was the same.  It was a total pleasure to do business with them and they did a beautiful job.  I would hire them again in a minute!

I am in the process of selling my home and needed to have multiple rooms of wallpaper removed and some walls repainted. The fact that it took only two days to complete the entire job was a miracle in and of itself. The two man crew worked non-stop throughout the project. The quality of the work was great. When it came time to paint our home my husband and I set out to find the best painters out there to entrust our home to. We got several bids from painters and decided on A fresh Coat Painting for several reasons. The first thing that impressed us was their web-sites before and after pictures of jobs they had done. Then reading all of the testimonials from previous customers was amazing.

When called for an estimate Paul showed up on time and was very professional. He handed us pages of people he had done work for so we could see the kind of work they do. Paul walked around the house with us and took notes. Later he gave us the estimate and we looked it over thoroughly . The Prep work he stated would be done on our home sold us. Attention to every detail in caulking, priming, nailing in nails that have pop out, sanding, use of drop cloths to protect your property. Right down to using only the finest paints in the industry made for the Northwest and our climate. Using multiple coats of paint, spraying, rolling and brushing on the surface. So our decision was made to use Paul, Kurt and their crew.

The prep work started first, pressure washing the house and letting it dry. Returning to do the caulking priming sanding ,nailing etc. Then the fun started, Paul himself painted the three shingled accent peaks with a color that brought out the color of the brick on the front of our house. We used four colors on our home and they all worked so well together. The grand finale was the detail their head painter did on our front door and side panels. It was a work of art and turned out so beautiful. Hours were spent on making the entry door Pop and I couldn’t be happier with the results.
